Renn Drive embark on the road trip Racing to Catch the Cloud En Route to the Floral Mountain

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) sponsored the Renn Drive Thailand to hold a speedy road trip by luxurious Porsche cars in “Racing to Catch the Cloud  En Route to the Floral Mountain” in order to encourage an alternative way of travelling for hi-end travellers to embark on an unexpected impressive trip in Thailand.

Initiating this journey from 17 to 19 October, 2014, 28 stylish sports cars kicked off their swift engine en route from Bangkok – Khao Kho – Phu Tab Boek – Phu Ruea National Park to the Khek River, Phitsanulok. Also especially for this event, 40 members of the Renn Drive Thailand comprising celebrities from different types of business came to join this journey including Mr. Sihabutr Chumsai na Ayudthya, Executive of Triton Film Co., Ltd.,, a production house receiving many international awards, Mr. Naputt Assakul, the managing director of Bandara Group of the Bandara Group, Thailand’s leading hotel chain, Mr. Puri Hiranpruk who is a well- known actor and owns new resorts in Pai, Mae Hong Son, Mr. Vorasit Issara or Khun Plawan who owns Sri Panwa,  one of Phuket’s renowned luxury pool villas, and  Mr. Nattaset Poonsapmanee, a renowned TV host and actorAll of them, mesmerised with the classic and supercars as much as the adventurous spirit of travelling, showed the way on how to combine both of these aspects and make them happen in Thailand.

Mr. Thawatchai Arunyik, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand stated that “This time the timeless renowned supercars like Porsche are spotlighted to encourage more choices of interesting road trips in Thailand. Usually accelerating their pedals in the capital, the Porsche drivers enjoyed their ride among the scenic view of greenery, flowers and clear blue sky as well as observed the local life and culture along the beautiful route.”

The series of authentic supercars moved across several well-known fascinating natural destinations; namely, Khao Kho in Phetchabun, considered the Little Switzerland of Thailand, where Wat Phra That Pha Son Kaeo is situated. Also, Phu Tab Boek in Phetchabun that provides tourists a great spot to observe the picturesque view of the sea of mist and moved onto Phu Ruea National Park in Loei where visitors can see the beautiful sunrise and feel the cool weather. Then, the trip ended at the Khek River in Phitsanulok famous for exciting enjoyable rafting.

Mr. Thawatchai added “The road trip promoted not only the route to the Dream Destinations, but also the connectivity to other regions in Thailand. Moreover, this trip offers another interesting way for hi- spending tourists including expatriates and foreign travellers seeking a new dimension of ultimate vacation experiences.”

The Renn Drive Thailand with the founder members including Mr. Sihabutr Chumsai na Ayudthya and Mr. Naputt Assakul is a meeting place of Porsche fans and owners. It is considered Thailand’s official Porsche Club. Right now, the group consists of its 120 A- list members. Moreover, it has a connection with worldwide supercar groups; such as, Porsche Club USA.
