YHA will be the first backpacker accommodation network in Australia to offer free Wi-Fi hotspots for guests, from 1 April 2015.
Free Wi-Fi hotspots have being installed at all major YHAs ready for launch on 1 April (and that’s no April Fool’s joke!)
Guests are encouraged to use the hotspots in communal areas to share their travel experiences.
Over half of the YHA properties in Australia will now offer this service to guests, in city and regional areas. All hostels in the YHA network of over 80 properties across Australia will offer free Wi-Fi hotspots by the end of 2015.
Operations Manager for YHA, Robert Henke said: “YHA is proud to be the first backpacker accommodation network in Australia to offer guests enhanced connectivity with free Wi-Fi hotspots. We have identified that this extra service will meet our guests’ needs and enhance their experience of staying with YHA”.
A premium paid option will also be available to guests under the ‘YHA Connect’ service.
YHA is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation, and part of the world's largest budget accommodation network, Hostelling International, with 4,000 hostels in more than 90 countries.
